The list that has triggered so much commentary and some truly heart-breaking stories looks like a slight parody of many rules and practices within the church. It takes 2 dating well-constructed parody IMHO. Are those statements true. In my view, it may depend on whom you ask, or what sort of parents you had, or the concentration of Mormons in your community, etc. Not all of the statements are ""doctrine"", but who can say with any certainty what the finer points of doctrine are in all matters Mormon.
